Let me first apologize for what I'm about to suggest here. I really don't want to offend anyone or open any old wounds. But in the interest of solving this case I've had some thoughts that I would like to share.

These murders were very violent. This community was very small, yet no one heard a thing? I just don't believe that. I'm thinking no one wanted to come forward with any information because they had their own secrets and their own guilt in this case. Maybe I am way off but we have established that there were some very suspicious, shady types of men in this small, remote community. Maybe there was something more disturbing and sinister going on for some time in the area. Something that involved the smaller children here. Afterall, Tina was missing. Why take her? And afterall, what was the real motive in this case? Do you all understand what I am implying?

What types of men seek remote areas to live? I wonder how many other small children lived in Keddie at that time? I wonder how perfect an opportunity this place provided for these guys that could have had a dark side.

Guest, I feel badly that you feel like you can't put your user name
on this post. Your thoughts are perfectly acceptable. As Gypsey, and
I in the past, pointed out it could be that M and B, may very well
not be the perps. So any suggestions and thoughts are worth
mentioning.

I understand why you didn't use your username.

Tho I lean towards drug related crime, I often wonder why nothing
was heard, and why Tina was taken.

Thanks for your input.

i said what was needed pinky
why nothing was heard was it
was pulled off with some finesse
but otherwise messy and wild in the cabin
in other words they had it under control to
the point of keeping it within the cabin and
then again i said it was bloody and messy in the
cabin itself. it is called controlling your environemnt
and army and military people are trained to control
the environment and situation they are in or they get
killed by their enemies. they went in and basically was
able to control 7 people to the point nothing was heard
outside the cabin but we know what inside the cabin looked like
dont we?

you take hostages sometimes in battle or wars so controlling
your hostages or the enemies ar
e one of the things army
and military people are trained in..makes sense?

why tina was taken i already put in what i thought was the
causes and it is a few things.....

1. the shoe box-shadow project for school-did she use material
that was actually acid sheets or papers. they did not know where
the box was or some hidden fact we dont know about why
they had to take tina and the box...

**these are facts we know tina and the shoe box was taken
from the cabin.

2. tina walked into the cabin late enough into this living
hell so marty and bo and lee did not know what to do with
her and killing her would take more time and maybe they
did not think they had the time to get away with it..remember
keddie is dead..i mean dead quiet and even more so at night.

**we know for a fact tina arrived later in the night from a friends
cabin near by so again facts here.

3. marty and bo attitude and more marty's attitude towards
women and females as if they old enough to bleed then they
are old enough to breed and we have had people come on here
and vertify this attitude so we know they had it. marty and bo
really had no respect for women and if they are 25 or even 11
years old they did not matter to them.

**we know for a fact marty and bo and marty especially had
this women disrespectful attitude towards women and young
girls that MRS MEEKS has informed us on.

WERE THERE PERVERTS AND MOLESTERS IN QUINCY-YES BUT
THERE ARE PEOPLE ALL OVER LIKE THAT AND BEING A SMALL
AREA IN KEDDIE AND QUINCY, IT JUST SEEMS LIKE THERE WAS
A LITTLE MORE UP THERE AT THE TIME. I HAVE ALWAYS SAID
QUINCY AREA IS A LITTLE BIT WEIRD IN ATTITUDES AND HOW
THINGS ARE AND IT WAS VERY MUCH THAT WAY THEN WHEN
I WAS LIVING UP THERE.

Guest - your comments are definitely thought provoking. I would venture to guess that the scenario is somewhat unlikely, it is not impossible and it is worth exploring. My understanding is that Sue kept a pretty close eye on the kids and the kids had friends. If something was happening, I think others would have known or suspected and that avenue would have been checked out.

Tina's teacher talks about her in the film and does indicate that Tina may have had some emotional problems. If the teacher suspected such things were taking place, I'm sure she would have told the police. Tina's issues could have been the result of a multitude of things beginning with the separation of her parents.

However, things to keep in mind: There were no signs of forced entry; there were signs of a struggle; early reports indicate that Tina was out until about 9:30 p.m. that night.

Did someone bring Tina home? Did someone follow Tina home?

It has been speculated that Tina was at a friend's house, but I'm not sure that was ever verified. It would not be unusual to let an 11-year old stay over at a friend's house until 9:30 or 10:00 p.m. in a place like Keddie. Very small and the cabins were pretty close together. A parent could feel like nothing would/could happen in such a small communty without her or a neighbor seeing it and preventing it.

I agree Salem. I know when I was a kid, we often played kick the can and hide and seek. We loved playing these games at night. The attitude out in Keddie was about the same. No one had any fear that something like this could happen. We trusted everyone out there with the exception of the "wild man". He lived in one of the cabin's behind the store. The kids did'nt play much in that area, they played up where we lived, around their club house, and down by the river. It was not unusuall for the kids to be at a neighbors house at that time of night.
