HOW TO SEARCH THE FORUM

Postby dmac » Sat Mar 07, 2015 1:47 pm

The "search" function on the forum is great for most searches. However, it ignores any search term of three characters/letters or less. If you search for all the terms:

    dee
    gun
    car
    MX3
in one go, you'll get zero results from the forum search engine because none of the terms are longer than three characters.

If you search the keddie forum for 'dee pellet gun car MX3', the only results will concern 'pellet'.

Here's a workaround: I deployed a Google engine for this Keddie forum, which searches only this forum:

http://goo.gl/7CJ4kD
http://cse.google.com/cse/publicurl?cx= ... g3pg_fmpzg

Here's the easiest way to locate recent posts on the forum, whether you've read them already or not:

> On the Index page, click "View active topics" text link, below the Keddie 28 logo on the top left.
> The results page lists all posts from the last 7 days by default.
> at the bottom-center of the page, change "Display posts from previous 7 days" to any available option (up to a full year).
> click "Go".

This e-z solution is a big help for newbies, and forgetful people (like me).
