I don't have time or the conviction to be a PR agent for the case, and I certainly don't give a shit about the nonsense going on with this forum, which has proved to be a waste of my time and a huge pain in my ass. I'm tired of the whiny bitching behind the scenes and on the screens. Too many morons who can't keep facts or logic straight, or are too lazy to see the decades of work by others, or who whine and bitch and moan but don't tell the truth.

I've a decent rapport with many that have been involved in the forum over the years, but the current tensions are maggoty bullshit I won't waste my time on any longer. I want the idiocy to stop, the whining and bitching- and all the PMs I get from idiots who deserve a slap and a ban- to stop.

This forum has clearly been a waste of my time since Day One. Enough is enough. Let the Peanut Gallery continue ripping arms and legs from each other. I'm not interested in the complete lack of work done by those bitching and moaning. I only want to hear from people who want to work the case, and via email.

I'm only commenting on your 3rd paragraph, d. And I'm certainly not trying to score points or even change your mind about leaving. That being said... I get your frustration, but I truly hope that when the dust settles, that you won't feel your time as been wasted here. You ARE this case, and the time, effort and devotion you've given it has been invaluable. I have learned so much, and come so far in my understanding of the case and the people involved. The work you have done and the information you have been able to provide is extraordinary.

I'm deeply sorry that things have not progressed as far as many of us would like. And I'm saddened that there's evidently a lot of nonsense going on behind the scenes. You need to make the right decision for you. But please know that your forum and all you've done for this case has been incredible. I know I'm not the only one who's very grateful.

Take a vacation, have a rest, do stuff that makes D happy, and come back when you're ready or want to. I can help with the forum if it's become overwhelming, keeping the spammers out and all. You've put too much work into it to let it die, and I'd be happy to help.

Dmac, if you're leaving, and I sincerely understand why. I am going to leave this forum too. You are the only one who, I believe, has ever had a chance to solve this case. My frustration is the LE's choice to mishandle this case from the beginning. Yes I believe they chose to be sure this case was never solved. I also believe the family of Sue, Johnny and Tina have also never wanted to see justice for their families, I don't think they lost five minutes of their lives grieving over the deaths of their mother, sister and brother. They just moved in temporarily with other family and then I to foster care. I don't think they had a happy family life. Tina's grave sitting without a marker years after her brothers and sister had grown up tells a sad tale. Money tight or not, I'm sure they had some pizza and beer money they could have put together to put a marker on Tina's grave. I've not seen any caring or compassion from this family. Dana's family we know far less about. Even with all the evidence, details, drawings and timelines you have so meticulously put together: separating wheat from chaff...we still no so little about this family. Most of the people who have stories to tell are liars. LE never followed through on all the timelines and leads that didn't match.

I understand your frustration of now, people coming in and asking the same information over and over: putting forward questions about where the boys were at certain times of the evening. None of these questions or answers matter. Where Johnny and Dana were and at what time during that evening doesn't matter. All that matters is that they were at Cabin 28 when the murders took place.

Anyway, enough said, I'd like to keep in touch with you by email. If you don't come back to this forum, then neither will I. Dmac, you I trust.

i know sometimes i ask a question .that has been answered all ready.but i am 66 years old and i forget sometimes.i have been reading this every day.and study it to see if i might see something.that no one has noticed .i have been there i know that are police covers up things.i thing you have done a great job.i do hope you change your mind.there are people that care and want to see this case solved.and i am a fraid if you quit it will never be. i know this is not much but,thanks for every thing you have done

I've spent the better part of two months away from the case, and hope to spend a couple more not actively working/researching it. Behind-the-scenes and on-the-forum dust seems to have settled. I was forced to finally make a decision I'd not wanted to concerning kmik, and it's proved to be a great relief.

As I outlined in this post, kmix (sisters posting under one account, not many were aware of that unusual angle) brought into question their suitability as moderators (many also were not aware they were mods). After several weeks of deliberation, I reverted them back standard status. After that, they chose to make an embarrassingly stupid post elsewhere, which resulted in the immediate revocation of kmix' access to this site and forum.

That leaves the forum with one moderator, and me as admin. I will remain mostly off the forum, as it's still a thorn in my side and a distraction. I'll return to my vacation from the case, occasionally responding to posts that interest me (such as bbragg's and SammieJo's last posts), but for the next while my only major involvement will be with updating the site and working the 3D recreation of the crime scene- it's not really working the case, it's just upkeep and learning new skills.

I've recently removed most images hosted outside of the forum, as they were either dead links or pointed to hosts that often use pornography adverts. Many of the images (crime scene images, mainly) hosted by the forum have also been removed. Many graphic crime scene photos were only meant to stir conversation about what could be found within them, and have served their purpose: no recent discussion has been made in months. Many probably should never have been on the forum in the first place, even hidden away in areas only long-term, full-access members could reach.

Many of the removed are okay to be republished, but in lower resolutions to save bandwidth. Many were removed simply because they are redundant- the autopsy reports are on the main site's gallery, so posts concerning them now have links to the appropriate areas of the gallery.

There is also a new version of phpBB, which is the os software that runs this forum. I'm making other changes to the forum, such as paring down redundant or unnecessary posts/threads, to better facilitate the eventual transition. It will mean losing certain current functionality, such as Thumbs Up, Similar Topics, and Chat, but they aren't as important as the new architecture and security the upgrade offers. Not that this version of phpBB is unsafe, but this update is impressive, from what I've seen.
