Kinda New Here

Postby jennyb » Sat Oct 29, 2011 9:29 pm

Hello all,

I have been lurking (that sounds kinda creepy!) around the forum for some time now, and just wanted to formally jump into the discussion. I was reading through the forum today, after a few months absence, and noticed there has been quite a bit of activity regarding John Boubede. I admit, I have not done a lot of research on him, but I checked with the records of Wunders Cemetery, and can not find any record of his burial. I was able to locate a Severin and Doloris Boubede in Louisiana, and was wondering if it is possible that these are the same two people associated with this case, or
just a coincidence?

Hi Jenny,

Part of the problem in identifying any of the Severin John Boubedes for sure is that - there's a few of 'em, dating back several generations.

Bo's neice has said he died in Virginia in '88. Perhaps he was buried in a family plot.

I am a little confused, because when I contacted Wunders Cemetary, they had no listing of a Boubede buried there. Could your grandmother been buried under a different surname?

Often, online cemetery listings include just the names the person doing the listing made notes on. They rarely list everyone who is buried in that cemetery unless it's a very small one. That's been my experience anyway.
